4/3/16 to 4/9/16: Not Quite Taper Time

I think Jon Waldron did a better job of describing the start to this week than I ever could.

This week was interesting...I felt tired, but increasingly I had more energy thanks to five and six mile morning commutes and evening runs that were extended by running to the grocery store.  I ended up hitting 100 mainly because I like round numbers, and this marks 14 weeks in a row of 100+ miles per week.  I'm certainly a believer in the mileage with my fitness where its at, and hopefully after Boston, I'm able to quickly recover and get back into the swing of things.

Ok, here it is:
3-Apr Long Run 2:19:30 18 AM: 18+ on Battle Road in some really bad conditions to start.
Off 0:00:00 0 PM: Off.
4-Apr Easy 0:48:00 6.1 AM: 6+ at around 7:50 as the snow storm begins.
Moderate 0:51:33 6.31 PM 6+ in the snow storm at whatever.
5-Apr Easy 0:50:55 6.15 AM: 6+ at whatever.
Workout 2:04:53 17.1 PM: ~9m commute home and to BU, then a longer warm up there.  1600/1200/1000/800/600/400 starting at 5m pace and working down to mile pace.  Legs felt heavy from running in the snow, but paces were alright.
6-Apr Easy 0:40:47 5.25 AM: An easy 5+ at about 7:45per.  Felt alright.
Easy 0:59:40 7.67 PM: 7+ home and to the grocery store at around 7:45/mile.
7-Apr Easy 0:41:12 5.25 AM: An easy 5+. 7:50/mile.
Workout 0:57:14 7.44 PM: 7+ home and to the grocery store at around 7:40/mile.  No tempo for me tonight.  I'm still feeling pretty tired.  I had coffee when I got home and felt like it should be Saturday morning.
8-Apr Easy 0:37:22 5.25 AM:  5+at close to 7/mile.  Not sure why I went quick this morning.
Easy 0:56:44 7.73 PM: 7+ home and some with Raleigh and Eli as well.  Eli's not feeling well, but she wanted to get in a few miles before Sunday's race.
9-Apr Workout 0:37:01 5.02 AM: 5+ at 7:22/mile.  Not pushing, just easy around the Charles.
Easy 0:23:50 3.01 PM: Ran to and from Marathon Sports to get some gels and body glide…and hit 100+.  I CAN'T HELP IT!
Splits:
1600-5:29.69
1200-4:06.38
1000-3:18.74
800-2:38.1
600-1:53.29
